According to statictics, Andalusia is the warmest region in Europe, where temperatures reach 40 degrees in Summer and do not usually fall below 18 degrees in Winter! This is due to to the southern position, which is affected by warm air from Africa. No wonder that costa del Sol – placed in Andalusia – literally means “Coast of the sun” and the capital city of the region is called “frying pan of Spain”. But you have to remember that Costa del Sol is about 180 km long and its perfect climate lets you enjoy your stay on The Coast! This is probably the only place in Europe when people can still sunbathe in January!
